God, the loving Creator of all things, has set each human soul on the road to achieve heaven. Every human performs a specific role in God's plan, and his sole purpose on this earth is to discover God's will for him and execute it with love. God loves each one of His children, but He gives the greatest amount of His love to those who give to Him everything they have: priests and religious. God calls His priests with a gentle voice and demands that each embrace His call with a spirit of humility, sacrifice, and conformity to His holy will. Consequently, the only way one can hear God's voice and answer it is to be generous. This is the reason over 20 La Salette alumni have become religious, and more are following in their footsteps. La Salette is founded on generosity, which is the selfless giving of oneself. It was made to breathe a spirit of generosity into its students, enabling them to give themselves completely to God's will in this short life. This generosity leads them to sacrifice themselves, after the example of Christ, for the souls of others. They often return to their alma mater as an example to their brothers of that generosity which led them to leave all and answer Christ's call.
